Bwog Personals: Late Valentine Edition

To ease yesterday's heartbreak for singles, Bwog has coerced our daily editor emeritus and our webmaster into spokesmodeling for our acclaimed personal ads. Like what you see? Email us at bwgossip@columbia.edu and, if you're lucky, we'll make the match and spring ten (!) dollars for coffee. If you've got a friend you'd like to nominate... that's a good reason to email us as well.

Guy For Girl Guy For Girl

Name: David
Year: 2009
School: Columbia College
Major: History and/or Philosophy Concentration
Hometown: Washington, DC

Best Book You've Read for Class: 1919 by John Dos Passos

Worst Book You've Read for Class: The Counterrevolution of Slavery by Manisha Sinha. It was this history book that was just badly written. It had some interesting points but I don't remember a more frustrating book to read.

Most shameful thing you've ever done to procrastinate: Shooting at various targets in my room with a staple gun. My floor is covered with staples.

Beverage of choice:
Dr. Brown's Black Cherry.

What are your most played songs on iTunes? This is skewed because of when I had to reinstall iTunes in the fall. It's five songs from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly soundtrack. I'll list the top five that are actually by different artists:

L'Estasi Dell'oro and Il Triello (tie) - Ennio Morricone
Gasoline Dreams - Outkast
It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry - Bob Dylan
Sweet Virginia - Rolling Stones
Fish - Ghostface Killah

What do you wish were your most played songs on iTunes? Some new stuff. I need to find out what new music is good and listen to it.

Favorite Morningside Heights Meal: Milanesa torta at Taqueria.

The title of your memoir: I Had A Good Run

Dream date 5 words or fewer: Banquet

Thing you're looking forward to most this year:
Going on this hike, in the Devil's Pass (yeah it's a badass name, ain't it?), in the Catskills. I don't get to do as much outdoors shit as I would like so right now I'm looking forward to that. Really, I'm mostly looking forward to the part right after I finish.

Thing you're looking forward to least this year: Job searches, job-related stuff.

Name: Zach
Year: 2008
School: SEAS
Major: Computer Science
Hometown: Springfield, Mass.

Best Book You've Read for Class: Excluding CC, I haven't read a real book for *class* since high school. So it's 100 Years of Solitude.

Worst Book You've Read for Class: "Freeway Grading And Elevation, 3rd Edition: 1978"

Most shameful thing you've ever done to procrastinate: I once rendered a scale model of my room and rearranged the graph-paper furniture for a good hour and a half. And I've got SimCities the size of Tokyo.

Beverage of choice: Black coffee. In a cracked mug, if that's an option.

What are your most played songs on iTunes?
Silver Jews - Punks In The Beerlight
A Tribe Called Quest - Chase, Part 2
Sufjan Stevens - Sister

What do you wish were your most played songs on iTunes?
I'm pretty OK with those. Lately I listen to MIA over 50% of the time.

Favorite Morningside Heights Meal: On more than one occasion, I've traveled from Brooklyn to 110th Street to satisfy a Koronet craving. Sometimes the counter guys shake my hand when I come in.

The title of your memoir: "I still think I was right about the following:"

Dream date 5 words or fewer: Making out; then, laser tag.

Thing you're looking forward to most this year: Never having to come back to campus again. Except to geek out on maps at Avery, as a dottering, rent-controlled old loon.

Thing you're looking forward to least this year: Buying my first new pair of pants since before "Hot In Herre" was played out.

David's face appears to be made of several smaller polygons, like in the game Madden 99. Meanwhile, Zach's face is a simple oval design punctuated mainly by smaller ovals. Whether you prefer polygons or ovals should determine which of these candidates you are more attracted to.

Rob Trump once ate the head of an orphan seal and then digested it in his stomach of despair.

Rob Trump invented SARS.

Rob Trump cheats at "Battleship."
